About the role
A large semiconductor manufacturing company in Toronto is hiring for this role. You will own Python frameworks and services that orchestrate engineering workflows across machines and clusters. The role exists to give engineering teams reliable, scalable infrastructure for scheduling and running work.
What you'll do
- Design, build, test and maintain Python frameworks and services for orchestrating workflows across machines and clusters
- Build scheduling, distributed execution, resource management and failure recovery capabilities
- Define maintainable APIs and system architecture
- Debug complex infrastructure issues
- Document and test reusable systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions
What you bring
- Strong Python skills, with experience building frameworks and services
- Familiarity with distributed systems concepts such as scheduling, resource management and failure recovery
- Ability to design clean APIs and sound system architecture
- A habit of testing and documenting what you build
- Comfort working alongside other engineering teams
