About the role
A large chemical manufacturing company in Richmond is hiring for this role. You will own major capital projects from initiation through closeout, keeping each one inside its approved scope, budget, schedule and safety requirements. The role exists to turn capital investment into plant capacity that operations can run.
What you'll do
- Lead capital projects through engineering, construction, commissioning, startup and closeout
- Direct multidisciplinary teams and external partners
- Manage project controls, risks and procurement
- Oversee construction and keep stakeholders informed
- Hand the finished project over to operations
What you bring
- Experience leading major capital projects in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to deliver to scope, budget, schedule and safety requirements
- Skill directing multidisciplinary teams and external partners
- Working knowledge of project controls, risk management and procurement
- Clear communication with stakeholders at every level
