A mid-sized higher education company in Toronto is hiring for this role. You will own complex accounting activities across the close, reconciliations and financial reporting, and keep financial and recurring revenue reporting reliable. The role also supports budgeting, forecasting and audit readiness.
What you'll do
- Own the close, account reconciliations and financial reporting
- Handle revenue accounting and keep recurring revenue reporting accurate
- Investigate discrepancies and resolve them at the source
- Prepare the books for audit and keep documentation current
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, cash management and accounting system implementation
What you bring
- Hands-on experience with month-end close, reconciliations and financial reporting
- Revenue accounting experience, including recurring revenue
- An investigative approach to tracking down discrepancies
- Comfort supporting audits, budgets and forecasts
- A practical streak: you improve processes, controls and documentation, and share what you know with the team
